Welcome to the Sports Discovery Forum!
We are delighted to announce the official opening of the Sports Discovery forum!
This idea first came about following on from the responses to the survey we conducted on profiling careers in Sports Science (view a summary of the results here). It was clear that knowledge and communication are fundamental skills in our industry and a key aspect of aiding your career is networking – so we hope to provide an online platform to network and share knowledge, ideas, questions, research and much more. The survey results also suggested the Sports Science career pathway is unclear and varied, and people were unsure of recommendations to fill gaps or directions within our industry – perhaps this new forum can play a small part in offering advice and recommendations.
This platform is free to sign up and join in with the discussions on all things High Performance, Sports Science, Strength and Conditioning, Technology and Research. The forum is for everyone and we hope it will develop into a thriving, online community. Following on from last year’s Sports Discovery post ‘A Starting Point for Sports Science CPD Online‘, we also hope the forum can provide an ongoing source of CPD resources.
Thanks also to David Tenney for allowing us to announce the forum opening at the Seattle Sounders FC Sports Science Weekend - you can read more from the renowned, annual event on their dedicated Twitter page: @SSFCSpSci.
We would love to hear any of your feedback and really hope you find the forum useful!
